Senior Practitioner - Children and Young People's Team
- Annual Salary: £47,420 with £3000 welcome payment

- Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid (minimum 3 days in the office)
We are looking for an Advanced Practitioner to carry a workload requiring exemplary practice in high complexity situations, exercising autonomy while receiving regular supervision. The role involves championing best practice, leading practice development forums, and contributing to service improvement and delivery. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with service users and their families to assess needs and plan and deliver services.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Work in partnership with children and families to promote participation in decision-making and effectively communicate in complex circumstances.
- Ensure that the team fulfills statutory responsibilities and maintains quality practice standards.
- Undertake and maintain expertise in specialist assessments and interventions, acting as a resource to others.
- Manage a complex workload with autonomy, developing a network of colleagues for advice and practice development.
- Use supervision for practice reflection and career development.
- Provide professional supervision and support to staff, including induction, mentoring, and coaching.
- Contribute to a culture of learning within the team and wider service.
- Lead project and development work to promote innovation and excellence.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the evaluation and analysis of information systems.
- Model effective assessment and risk management in complex situations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
- Higher Degree and Professional Social Work Qualification preferred.
- Significant post-qualification experience (minimum of 4 years) in a statutory social work role.
- Experience in practice development and providing supervision/coaching/mentoring.
- Advanced knowledge of legal and policy frameworks in Children's Social Care.
- Proficiency in electronic business support processes and information systems.
- Registration with the SWE.
- Ability to communicate effectively at an advanced level and establish professional networks.
