Caretaker

About The Role

Overall Purpose of the Role:

To create and maintain a quality standard of Caretaking and porterage services to the agreed specification within set time limits within a specific area.

Health & Safety Purpose: To take a direct interest in the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your work activities.

You will be working Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 19:30, 37.5 hours per week, on a permanent, full-time basis.

Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Providing Planned and reactive maintenance support to the site, conducting PPMs and remedials.
  • Conduct Janitorial duties including porterage, litter, waste disposal and handyman tasks as required.
  • Ensure that all areas are cleaned to the highest possible standard at all times.
  • Adhere to company policies at all times.
  • Maintain health and safety standards.
  • Ensure personal appearance, including uniform, are of the highest standard at all times in line with company policy.
  • Undertake any reasonable task as requested by the site manager or supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Experience.
  • IT literate and use of technology desirable, Handyman experience desired, cleaning experience desired but not essential as training will be given.
  • Must be a team player who is willing to work to strict deadlines and go above and beyond requirements when called to support.
  • Ability to follow policy and procedures.
  • Willingness to bring concerns to corporate attention via prescribed channels.
  • NVQ level 2 in Healthcare and BICS cleaning certificate.Not essential as training will be given via impact.
