We are currently recruiting for a Commis Chef for a busy country pub in the Hertfordshire area. Ideal candidate will have gained basic experience of working in a commercial kitchen assisting the head chef in preparing and presenting a wide range of food. This role would suit someone who is looking to develop their experience and skills learning from the Head Chef.
Job specification
- Assist the chef with food preparation and presentation.
- Perform basic tasks including chopping and slicing.
- Follow recipe instructions accurately.
- Always keep the kitchen clean and hygienic.
- Communicate effectively with the head Chef.
- Adhere to kitchen policy.
Requirements???????
- Minimum of 6 months experience of working in a commercial kitchen
- Access to a car essential due to rural location
- Experience of food preparation
- Able to multitask effectively.
- Effective communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Passion for food and learning new skills.
- Excellent work ethic
- Be able to work under pressure.
- Fundamental understanding of food hygiene procedures
