The Role: Primary School Teaching Assistant (Croydon)
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistant to join their team starting in September. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and supporting their academic and personal growth. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting teachers with classroom activities and providing additional support to students.
Key Duties:
- Supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Working with small groups or individual students to provide targeted support.
- Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Helping to assess and monitor student progress.
- Preparing and organizing classroom materials and resources.
- Supervising students during breaks, lunchtimes, and on school excursions.
- Contributing to the well-being and safety of all students.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are beneficial but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children.
- Ability to commute to Croydon
