NET Recruit is partnering with an engineering business located in the Portsmouth are who are searching for an Engineering Project Manager. Offering bespoke services, this business are developing their customer base and are set for great expansion plans over the next few years, thus making it an exciting time to join the business.

This role will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of various customer projects, planning and engaging resources, liaising with clients and ensuring the quality of the solution is ensured at every stage. It is a crucial and highly progressive role within a business that is looking to continue to grow and build on its already outstanding success.

Your Role and Responsibilities

While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Gaining an understanding for the scope of projects including costs and timescales via liaising with customers
  • Allocating resources according to the needs of the project and developing a comprehensive project plan, ensuring that information is delivered to each party involved to enable optimal working
  • Managing team members and holding them accountable for deadlines and targets
  • Reconciling the requirements of each project with that of the business needs, ensuring that tasks and timings can be fluid and changeable as it is required
  • Ensuring that customers are updated regularly on the progress of projects, including making them aware of any issues and resolutions taken
  • Leading meetings between relevant business units as it is needed to successfully deliver projects
  • Overseeing that quality checks are conducted throughout each project stage to ensure this meets customer needs and business targets
  • Supporting the management team with regular project updates and ensuring they have information required if interventions are needed
  • Line managing a selection of managers from various teams which will include training and appraisals as well as holiday and absence management

What you will need to Apply:

In order to be considered for this position, you must have excellent project management and operational experience, preferably from within the engineering sector, particularly with managing multiple cross-functional projects. Knowledge of business performance metrics and experience in implementing quality management systems is also needed. Excellent attention to detail, communication and organisational skills are paramount to success in this role. All applicants must have a valid driving license from within the UK in order to be considered.

What you will get in Return:

As the successful candidate within this position, you could expect a starting salary in the region of £90,000 as well a desirable package that includes great holiday allocations, pension contribution and also generous work-related benefits.
