Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Working both independently and also with model users and internal IT, analyse and document the current data architecture through two to three stages in our existing data transformation process. That is, from source data to data used by model users.
  • Identify differences in data transformations between our Group models that can potentially be simplified and made consistent
  • Work with the vendor and model users to analyse the data structure used by the new modelling platform
  • Design, document and agree data mapping from our infrastructure to the new modelling platform.
  • Work with IT, model users and the vendor to agree and document stages from design to implementation
  • Monitor, document and drive progress to completion. Identify and resolve potential obstacles.
  • Participate in testing, becoming a point of sign off.

Core skills and knowledge

  • Experience of delivery of technical projects with complex data analysis requirements
  • Experience as business analyst of banking and Treasury applications
  • Strong SQL
  • Strong data analysis / troubleshooting skills
  • Experience of range of asset classes within a banking environment
  • Strong communication skills: verbal and written
  • Demonstrable evidence of an ability to 'bridge the gap' between business user and technical IT understanding.
  • Initiative and creative problem solving
  • Tenacity - take ownership of tasks and drive to completion
  • Focus on delivery
