Purpose of job:
To operate and maintain laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
- Set up machine parameters, to achieve optimal cutting results
- Monitor the cutting process and adjust as necessary to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimise downtime
- Inspect finished parts for quality defects and take corrective actions as needed
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
Skills & attributes:
- Prior experience operating laser cutting equipment, preferably with Trumpf lasers
- Familiarity with CNC programming and machine controls
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality orientation
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures
