Assistant Production Manager required for an eyewear manufacturer based in Brentford. This role will be reporting to the current production manager with a view to becoming the production manager in the next few years.

Position Overview
- Production Oversight: Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring that all processes are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of products at various stages of production and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise production staff, provide training, and ensure that all team members adhere to safety and quality standards.
- Scheduling: Assist in creating and maintaining production schedules to meet deadlines and manage workflow effectively.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the production process and work with the team to implement changes that enhance efficiency and quality.

Position Requirements
- Engineering background
- Additional mechanical background a plus
- Min 2-3 years' experience with working in production on machines-2-3 years management experience
- Able to work on multiple machines
- Good communication skills
- Interest in eyewear production environment
- Good numeric and organisational skills
- Coping well under pressure and meeting deadlines
- Diligent and accurate
