Salary: £44,195 - £50,611 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

As a Lead Internal Quality Assurance Verifier (IQA), you'll ensure the quality of training and assessments at our training centres, managing externally accredited qualifications and technical apprenticeships. This key role is particularly suited for someone with a background in power and/or utilities and will include:

  • Coordinating and monitoring assessments at our training centres and other locations, ensuring they meet qualification scheme and awarding body standards.
  • Keeping accurate records and reports of verification activities for auditing purposes, liaising with other internal verifiers within the team, and providing necessary information to external verifiers to show compliance with quality assurance standards.
  • Working with external verifiers and auditors to maintain our accreditation as an approved training and assessment provider, acting as the centre coordinator.
  • Organising assessor and internal verifier standardisation reviews and observations and keeping records of these for external verification.
  • Supporting the development and compliance of assessment plans and procedures for power apprenticeship End Point Assessments and gathering evidence for external review panels or auditors. You'll also work with technical training managers to ensure the same compliance standards for internally awarded certifications as for externally accredited qualifications.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role we'd love you to have:

  • Vocational experience in the power or utilities sector.
  • Background in a similar IQA or Instructor Assessor role with experience in quality assurance and verification of accredited qualifications.
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training, and ideally working towards a Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice.
  • Proficiency with IT equipment and Microsoft software for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to a changing workload and prioritising tasks effectively.

There will be a requirement to travel within the UK to monitor training and assessment activities. You must be willing to develop vocational experience and certifications in line with the activities being assessed such as streetworks and power craft roles in order to be able to meet awarding organisation requirements and support the assessor team.
