Job Type: Permanent (MON-FRI 7am-3pm, 9am-5pm)

Salary: £41,000-£45,000

We are looking for an Electrical Facilities Technician to join our clients growing pharma manufacturing company known for their commitment to quality, and innovation.

Position Overview:

  • You will be responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of various electrical systems and equipment, with a specific focus on dehumidifiers, Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), chillers, and Air Handling Units (AHUs). Your expertise will help us maintain optimal environmental conditions, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on dehumidifiers, BMS, EMS, chillers, and AHUs to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose electrical issues and execute prompt repairs to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage the electrical systems within the facility, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities and Production teams to develop preventive maintenance plans and schedules.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including logs, reports, and updates to the BMS/EMS systems.
  • Identify opportunities for energy-saving initiatives and assist in the implementation of these projects.
  • Respond to emergency situations with a calm, problem-solving approach, ensuring the safety and integrity of the facility.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Facilities Technician, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with dehumidifiers, BMS, EMS, chillers, and AHUs.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, controls, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Relevant certifications in electrical maintenance or facilities management are a plus.
