My client, a market-leading organisation located in Birchwood, Warrington is experiencing massive growth, making this a very exciting time to join the business. With the growth a new position has been identified and they are looking to recruit on a permanent basis a full time Quality Assurance Engineer.

Benefits:

  • £25,000 to £27,000 annual salary
  • 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays) rising after one year of service up to 33 days after 5 years' service.
  • Company Pension
  • Working hours of Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00, Friday 08:00 - 16:30

Role Purpose:

The Quality Assurance Engineer assists the Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) team in inspections and technical testing activities. They measure, monitors, and to improve organisation's quality compliance with external regulations and standards and organisation's quality policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Review project specifications and recommend mix designs to the Sales Department to quote jobs.
  • Reviewing production instructions and quality documentations
  • Monitoring production process and performing regular checks to identify potential problems and malfunctions in the early stages
  • Identifying the root causes of technical issues and performing debugging procedures or recommending fixes
  • Participate in pre-job bidding preparation.
  • Prepare project submittals and tender responses.
  • Coordinate work with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, and Dispatch in order to better serve the
  • Customer.
  • Attend pre-job meetings and provide input on issues that may impact product quality.
  • Maintain document control within the management system.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to work cooperatively with others
  • Well-versed in maintaining and controlling a Quality Management system
  • Ability to take the initiative and make sound judgments in work methods and interpreting goals
  • Ability to work independently and in teams with infrequent supervision and reviewing
  • High attention to detail to ensure proper manufacturing, installation and operation of products
  • Good analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analyses and devise suitable preventive action plans
  • Valid driver's licence
