Title: 2nd Line Network Engineer
Location: Brighouse
Salary: £30,000-£35,000 DOE
In response to our continuous growth, we are expanding our technical team and establishing a 2nd line helpdesk. We are actively seeking two candidates to join this team, offering a wonderful opportunity to become part of our friendly and growing helpdesk located in Brighouse.
We are in search of an enthusiastic network engineer who will be responsible for resolving network issues for our clients and providing support for customer projects. The ideal candidate will possess experience in 1st/2nd line helpdesk support and aspire to advance their career as a network engineer while acquiring new skills.
Responsibilities
- Managing customer support requests escalated from the 1st line.
- Raising and processing faults with our partners via telephone, email, and appropriate portals.
- Ensuring timely resolution of all tasks within the SLA.
- Proactively keeping customers informed through ticket updates, phone calls, and emails.
- Escalating complex support requests to senior engineers.
- Configuring network equipment, such as routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Providing assistance for customer projects and installations.
- Coordinating engineers' attendance at customer sites.
Desirable Skills
- Cisco Meraki experience.
- Networking certifications CCNA, CCNP.
- Experience working with Public Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python.
- Knowledge of broadband products such as ADSL/FTTC/SOGEA/FTTP/Leased Lines.
- Familiarity with hosted phone systems/VoIP.
- Configuration of new Hosted PBX accounts.
- Configuration of hosted phones.
