Your new companyHays Recruitment are proud to be supporting a Winsford-based secondary school that is extremely academic and supports students with a variety of SEN as they are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to support the KS4 (Key Stage 4) classes. You will be joining a team of welcoming and engaging professionals on a long-term temporary basis.Your new roleIn your new role as a teaching assistant within this school, you will support all KS4 classes. You will work alongside the class teachers to offer a stimulating and engaging learning environment by building strong constructive relations with pupils by actively encouraging them to give input during lessons and utilising learning equipment which will intern ensure that all pupils reach their full academic potential. You will support your pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, all of whom have moderate SEN and are all extremely independent. You will offer intervention and booster sessions in all core subjects including Maths, English, Science, PE, RE, and various vocational courses as well as offering GCSE preparation including boosters and mock exams.
What you'll need to succeedTo be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK, as well as recent referenceable experience supporting children within the KS3/4 aged bracket (11 - 16), as well as:
- Experience delivering intervention and booster sessions in core subjects
- Be able to commit to a full-time contract
- The ability to take a pupil-centred approach to learning
