Night Centre Team Leader - Atria Watford

Purpose of the Role

Supporting night duty manager in running the night operation.

Key Responsibilities

Security

  • Supervise and hands on approach to the mall, basement. car park and centre security operation.
  • To Provide guidance. training, and supervision to the security team.
  • Work with management to ensure operational cover and manage rosters on a day-to-day basis.
  • Carry out team briefs to all security staff.
  • Keep up to date with Terror threat level and intelligence provided by Savills security team Keep security team up to date with all information, issues and incidents — regular team briefs
  • Hold regular meetings with management team
  • Attend organised training sessions
  • Complete all monthly checks to include PPE, Al's. Tool Box Talks and Welfare checks.
  • Be fully conversant with all procedures and policies. ensuring that site assignment instructions are followed and adhered too.
  • Ensure that the centre security operation is operationally compliant and in line with security regulations and risk assessments
  • Provide security solutions to meet and exceed needs and contribute to the safety of our customers, retailers, staff and property.

Environmental

  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene around the premises.
  • Manage excellent relationships with our client, suppliers and customers.
  • Lead and develop and retrain staff to deliver quality services in the most efficient and effective manner and achieve a "One Team" approach within the business. Work closely and support staff when required with Hands On approach.
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety requirements are followed as per company policies and procedures which will include accident reporting / investigation, delivery of toolbox talks, PPE checks, maintenance of statutory and non statutory records etc.
  • Support and work closely with the site Environmental teams.
  • Management of cleaning equipment, consumables and materials. Good knowledge of Machinery. Daily monitoring of Cleaning standards throughout the external areas ensuring team proactively respond to all tasks as required.
  • Ensure that all chemical and cleaning solutions are used correctly in line with manufacturer and company procedures. COSHH regulations are followed
  • Maximise sustainability opportunities working closely with all stakeholders and all recycling opportunities are explored.
  • Continuously review and introduce best practice across the shopping centre.
  • Deliver leadership for soft services required to meet / exceed the customer requirements
  • Enhance the relationship with the customer and ensure the appropriate and timely response to all cleaning issues and events.
  • Ensure that all relevant records are held and updated as required.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Candidates will be required to demonstrate the following:

Essential

  • Valid SIA Licence required
  • Experience in the provision of cleaning/security services in a busy environment visited by members of the public. (Not essential as training will be given)
  • Able to Demonstrate a good level of customer service.
  • Body fluids trained. (Training will be given)
  • Ability to work on own initiative and deal with demanding situations.
  • Honest and reliable work ethic.
  • Well presented.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work in both internal and external environments.
  • Willingness to partake in further on-site training

Desirable

  • Basic Knowledge of H&S legislation
  • Flexible working approach to work patterns
  • Driving Licence — not essential
  • CCTV license or the ability to work towards obtaining one

Working Hours - 40.25 hours per week 11.5hr Shifts 4 on 4 off

Salary - £15.80ph/£33,069.40pa
