Reed Engineering are working with a fantastic Heat and Steam Company who are seeking a skilled Welder for commercial and industrial projects in Milton Keynes, including work with a renowned food group. This is a temporary position running until the end of August, with the potential for direct employment based on performance.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Perform MIG, TIG, and MMA welding tasks in a commercial/industrial setting.
- Work with carbon steel piping ranging from 6-inch to 3-inch pipework.
- Ensure all welding activities meet the required coded standards.
- Participate in an in-house weld test to demonstrate welding capabilities.
- Potentially work at heights, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist in moving the project along efficiently and effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proof of current coding qualifications (copies will be required).
- Comfortable with potentially working at heights.
- A current PFW Skills Card and IPAF MEWPs certification would be advantageous.
- CSCS - Green or Blue card is beneficial.
- IPAF ticket is desirable.
- Ability to weld to a coded standard, with or without the ability to transfer codes.
- Experience in installing steam systems is preferred but not essential.
