The internship is intended as a pathway to a full-time Software Developer position within the team. The successful candidate will be involved in writing well-tested code, contributing to the development of new fixed-income portfolios, and performing both qualitative and quantitative analysis of client data.

Key Responsibilities:

Code Development & Documentation:

Write well-tested code in line with engineering principles.

Contribute to the documentation and enhancement of internal Python libraries.

Ensure code quality by writing unit tests and proactively reporting issues.

Portfolio Development:

Assist in the addition of new fixed-income portfolios to Abide, including data cleaning, validation, analysis, and reporting.

Client Data Analysis:

Perform ad-hoc qualitative and quantitative analysis of client data used in Abide.

Support the reporting needs of both internal and external stakeholders.

Team Collaboration:

Actively participate in team stand-ups, retrospectives, and planning sessions.

What you bring:

Academic & Professional Background:

A strong academic record with at least a 2:1 STEM degree from a leading university, or relevant bootcamp alongside professional coding experience.

Sound understanding of Git, Python, and Object-Oriented Programming principles.

Technical Skills:

Strong coding skills in backend software engineering (e.g., Django, FastAPI), data analysis (e.g., pandas, numpy, plotly), or frontend development (e.g., React, TypeScript).
