SENIOR PRICING ANALYST - INSURANCE

UP TO £60,000

LONDON

This is an exciting new opportunity to work across pricing models, where you will be developing new models using Python and machine learning techniques. You will be responsible for building new models, enhancing, and implementing them.

THE COMPANY

This company is an exciting insurer in the motor space going through growth. The company is an insur-tech making it a fast-paced environment providing you with the space to upskill and develop your pricing skills.

THE ROLE

You will be doing the following daily:

  • Developing, reviewing, and refining risk pricing models for both annual and short-term products, using custom in-house Python modelling pipelines.
  • Leading key projects from opportunity identification through implementation and monitoring, driving value to the company's bottom line. This includes proactively seeking, analysing, and implementing new rating methods to enhance account performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Applying actuarial, pricing, and data science techniques to support ongoing portfolio management and identify potential opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining data flows and creating management information tools and systems.
  • Ensuring robust governance and control measures are established and upheld.
  • Clearly communicating results and trends related to your assigned areas of responsibility.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of personal lines experience, ideally in the motor insurance space.
  • Strong commercial skills with the ability to understand broader implications of your work.
  • Understand machine learning techniques.
  • Strong numerate degree from a Russel Group University.
  • Strong analytical and numeric skills.
  • Skills in relevant software, such as Power BI, SQL, SAS, VBA, R, or Python.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
