Our client, a prominent player in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a Stores Operative to join their engineering team in Fareham. This contract role is essential for maintaining the efficiency and organisation of the onsite stores, playing a vital part within the Goods In department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing kits/components for the production team
- Following instructions for picking and Packing items for distribution to production
- Organising and maintaining the stores and physical stocks
- Ensuring parts are correctly stored and issued to avoid damage
- Following all Health & Safety guidelines
- Inputting data information into computers
- Multi-drop local delivery driving
Job Requirements:
- Experience working within a manufacturing stores environment
- Kitting or picking and packing experience essential
- High level of attention to detail
- PC literate
- Ability to carry out stock checks
- Ability to read and follow instructions for picking and packing
- Full clean UK Driving Licence as will need to make deliveries from time to time
