Community Care Staff

Optalis is the Adult Social Care delivery partner on behalf of Wokingham Borough Council and the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead Council. Optalis is owned and funded by the two councils - it is not a private provider or an employment agency.

We are recruiting staff for two different community care roles as below;

Support Worker - Float Support
Part-Time, 28 hours per week - £22,572.70 FTE + 45p per mile

Our Float Support team works closely with our Residential and Independent Living Services across the Royal Borough, providing additional support to customers in their day-to-day lives and allow them to access services in the community. This service is responsible for actively enhancing customers lives to become valued members of their community, to develop friendships and relationships, have a life that makes sense to the individual.

As a Support Worker you will provide high quality, person-centred support and care to a range of individuals with learning disabilities, and tasks may include personal care and domestic duties. Duties include responsibility for key working for our customers and working closely with other professionals and family members to ensure health and well-being. You will also be required to organise and support with activities, outings, and recreation.

Rehabilitation Care Assistant - Short Term Support and Rehabilitation
Various Contracts - 16, 24, 32 hours per week - £25,646.06 FTE + 45p per mile

The Optalis Short-Term Support and Rehabilitation Team (STS&R) provides six weeks of care and support to people who have recently been discharged from hospital, with the aim of restoring their confidence and independence in their own home. STS&R is a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Rehabilitation Care Assistants and Support Staff and provides support to customers across the Royal Borough of Maidenhead and Windsor.

As a Rehabilitation Care Assistant, you will provide care to customers in their own and will include responsibilities such as personal care, domestic duties and administering medication. In addition, you will work under guidance of occupational therapists and physiotherapists to assist customers with regaining independence and reducing the risk of being readmitted into hospital.

Experience of working as a Support worker, Care Worker, Healthcare Assistant, or working in Domiciliary Care would be helpful, however this is not essential as we provide full in-house training so we welcome applications from all employment backgrounds.

This role requires you to be able to drive and have your own vehicle, as you will be travelling to different locations across Maidenhead, Windsor, Ascot and the surrounding area to support our customers in their own homes.
