Graduate Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineer
Location: Sittingbourne (Office Based)
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 7.30am - 4.00pm Mon - Thurs, 7.30am - 13.30pm Fri
Salary: circa £25kpa
Role Profile
As a graduate mechanical engineer you will support the business' Technical Manager with the design and development of casting methods and tooling to produce high quality parts for the aerospace industry by utilising various engineering techniques and software packages.
Job Duties
- Utilise Solidworks CAD software to draught parts to client specification.
- Run casting simulations on MAGMASOFT to ensure optimal conditions for manufacturing runs
- Working with the wider manufacturing team to ensure parts can be produced in an efficient and costly manner
- Assist with the utilisation of lean manufacturing principles in various projects.
- Attend technical meetings with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ad hoc duties as required by the line manager.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold a recent degree in Mechanical/Materials Engineering or similar
- Experience on CAD software (Ideally Solidworks)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Knowledge of 3D printing would be advantageous
