Permanent - Heanor – Hybrid Role

£28k to £32k + bonus + great benefits package

A great opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join a dynamic team in Heanor, and play a pivotal role in delivering innovative projects for an established and respected business.

The Company

With over 100 years in business and working with some of the world's major players to provide engineering solutions, this is an established engineering company who design, manufacture / fabricate, install and commission a range of complex projects for the Power, Aerospace, Oil & Gas and several other heavy industry players.

The Role

As a Project Coordinator, you will:

  • Work as part of the Project team to manage, execute, and deliver projects.
  • Oversee the core elements or work breakdown structure (WBS) with Project Managers
  • Coordinate with Business Development, Engineering, and other relevant parties to set up and control internal processes.
  • Work with the Project team to designate part numbers and descriptions for ordering equipment and parts.
  • Support and transact small projects and spares orders.
  • Align the projects department with the strategic aims of the business.

Day-to-Day Duties

  • Manage the resource allocation of the Installations teams and support resource planning for the engineering teams.
  • Support activities on tenders and quotes as necessary.
  • Work closely with Procurement to ensure correct orders are placed and executed on time.
  • Coordinate project meetings and manage minutes and outputs.
  • Work with Project Engineers to support project coordination activities.
  • Ensure financial information is accurate and aligned with projects.
  • Set out project deliverables for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure resources and suppliers are on-board for delivery within budget and quality.
  • Execute projects and contract reviews on small projects and spares.
  • Generate accurate project plans that align with project scope, customer deliverables, and business capacity.

The Person

This is an important position to ensure the continued growth of the business, so you'll need certain things in your locker in order to be considered.
Education/Qualifications:

  • Qualified to HNC or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Desirable: HND or higher, formal Project Management qualification (e.g., Prince II or APMP).

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Experience delivering M&E design, manufacture, and install projects within Energy, Petrochemical, Aerospace, or similar.
  • Demonstrable experience working to cost, timescale, and quality constraints.
  • If you carry Gas Turbine knowledge, fabrication/manufacturing project management, industry experience, this would be very beneficial.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and organisation skills, ability to confidently present and negotiate with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Technically and numerically competent with an analytical approach. Commercial knowledge. Effective organisational skills. Ability to work under pressure to meet customer deadlines.
  • An understanding of Primavera P3e, Microsoft Project, or Asta project planning software.
