Customer Service Assistant

This busy parcel and shipping company seeks an additional member to join the shopfront team. The business hours are Monday through Friday, 9.00 to 5.00, but there is flexibility over the number of days/ hours you work. Ideally, start and finish times can be discussed at least four days a week.

Do you have good customer service skills and enjoy face-to-face interaction with customers?

This is a small, friendly company environment and you must have a good sense of humour.

The company offers a wide range of UK and international parcel and shipping services, which help its customers send "almost anything, almost anywhere."

Your Customer Service Assistant role will involve:

  • Being the first point of contact on the phone or in the shop
  • Responding to customer enquiries and then working through options to provide the best delivery services
  • Completing all the package and shipping information and taking payment
  • Tracking customer parcels and providing feedback

With a wide range of delivery options available, it will take time to become informed, and you should be prepared to learn about this part of the business.

Previous experience in retail or customer service, where you have helped customers, is ideal.
