Our client is currently looking for a Junior Design Technician to join their highly successful and innovative business. You will be joining an established department that presents fantastic opportunity to progress professionally.
As the Junior Design Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the department in generating designs within the building and construction sector, including initial design concepts as well as modifications.
The role is well suited to someone who wants to develop their design and engineering knowledge and grow within a reputed business.
Junior Design Technician role & responsibilities:
- Creating new designs using design software, primarily AutoCAD
- Modifying existing designs
- Customising designs and drawing new variants of existing designs to meet client requirements
- Liaising with internal support functions where required
- Offering outstanding service to clients against agreed timescales
- Producing specifications or technical information as required by clients
- Liaising on projects by telephone and e-mail correspondence with regards to drawings and approvals
This position is well suited to someone who:
- Has previous experience in a Design role
- Has experience of using AutoCAD
- Good communication skills – ideally previous experience liaising with both internal stakeholders and customers as part of your work
- Keen to learn and develop
- Good team player
- Good time management
- Strong Numeracy and literacy
