Test Lead/Manager - 12 month FTC

This is a 12 month FTC role working on a digital transformation project.

Client Details

The company is a law firm with offices in Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool. This role is a 12 month FTC role. You will be looking after 6 testers who are moving across from a fee earning role on a secondment for 6 months. Your role will be a mix of hands on and leadership. There has been very little testing on their Proclaim system and they are looking for someone to go on board and lead the team to get everything up to scratch.

Description

  • Test Strategy Document: Finalise the overall test strategy, including testing types, timelines, and resources.
  • Test Plan: Develop a detailed test plan for all phases of testing (unit, integration, system, UAT).
  • Test Environment Setup: Ensure test environments are set up and configured correctly.
  • Test Case Development: Begin the creation of detailed test cases and scripts.
  • Defect Management Process: Set up the defect management process and tools.
  • Unit and Integration Testing: Start unit and integration testing to validate individual components and their interactions.
  • System Testing: Conduct system testing to validate the entire system's functionality and performance.
  • Defect Tracking: Actively track and manage defects, ensuring timely resolution.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Preparation: Prepare UAT scenarios and coordinate with business users for UAT.
  • Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that fixes do not introduce new issues.
  • User Acceptance Testing: Oversee UAT, ensuring all critical business processes are tested and validated.
  • Final Defect Resolution: Ensure that all critical defects identified during UAT are resolved.
  • End-to-End Testing: Conduct final end-to-end testing to ensure system readiness for go-live.
  • Test Summary Report: Prepare a detailed test summary report, including test outcomes, defect statistics, and quality assessment.
  • Go-Live Testing Support: Provide support during go-live, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Post-Go-Live Validation: Conduct post-go-live testing to confirm that the system is functioning correctly in the live environment.
