We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Drama Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in the Biggleswade area starting from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator who is looking to inspire students up to KS4 and contribute to a thriving drama department.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Drama lessons that inspire and challenge students up to KS4.
- Foster a creative and stimulating classroom environment that encourages students' artistic expression and love for the performing arts.
- Effectively manage classroom behaviour to ensure a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students, providing constructive feedback.
- Stay current with the national curriculum and employ best teaching practices to enhance student learning.
- Engage in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole school training events to collaborate and contribute to the school community.
- Uphold the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Proven experience teaching Drama within UK secondary schools.
- Strong subject knowledge with a genuine passion for Drama.
- Exceptional classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Skilled in planning, delivering, and assessing engaging and challenging lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
