Requirements

  • Relevant teaching assistant, care, or childcare qualifications
  • The ability to work with children who have various SEN needs
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or readiness to obtain one
  • Willingness to learn and forge connections with students
  • Ability to work with learners facing diverse learning challenges
  • Good knowledge of the national curriculum

Responsibilities

  • Providing teaching assistance to the teacher defined according to weekly/daily/seasonal planning of the teacher
  • Supporting learners on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis
  • Working with the teacher to support the learning objectives
  • Monitor and assess student progress under teacher guidance
  • Cultivate a warm, supportive environment that fosters safety and enjoyment in learning.
  • Assist all students in their structured work across various curriculum areas
  • Foster the general well-being of students within the school's framework
