Role: Assistant Management Accountant
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Salary: £30,000- £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 per week
The Role:
We are partnering with a growing logistics company seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Management Accountant to join their team. Reporting directly to the Commercial Finance Manager, this pivotal role involves producing management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, as well as enabling effective commercial decisions to help support growth and profitability for the business.
What you will do:
- Collate, assess and validate financial data to enable insightful analysis of customer performance and profitability.
- Work with the Finance Manager on creating required reports, Management Information, etc. that facilitate the above, and provide further timely and insightful data to the Operators to drive improved business performance.
- Preparation of accurate and timely financial reporting and interpretation of the operations on a weekly and periodic basis
- Support with budgeting and forecasting
- Balance sheet preparation including robust reconciliations to support balances.
About you:
- Studying towards AAT/CIMA/ACCA
- Experience with P&L production, month end close, balance sheet recs;
- Ability to challenge results and present these to stakeholders at different levels;
- Strong communication skills
