We're looking for a reliable and experienced Welder to join a production team on the afternoon shift. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured environment and takes pride in producing high-quality, precision work. You'll play a key role in helping us meet production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-core welding based on project requirements
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Set up welding equipment and ensure all safety procedures are followed
- Carry out fabrication, assembly, and repair of metal structures
- Inspect and test completed welds for accuracy, strength, and appearance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Communicate with supervisors and coworkers to ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and safety standards
- Ability to work independently during the afternoon shift with minimal supervision
- Competence with grinders, saws, torches, and other metalworking tools
- Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy materials and components
- Welding certifications (CWB, AWS, etc.) are an asset but not required
