We are recruiting for an experienced Printer to operate Flexo Print Machine for a very successful and long standing organisation based in Southend on Sea, Essex. Experience on flexographic printing machinery is required. As a Printer you will operate printing machines to produce high-quality printed materials according to job specifications. Duties will include:
- Set up and adjust printing equipment based on job requirements, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and monitoring the production process.
- Monitor the printing process to ensure quality control and make adjustments as needed to maintain consistency and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with printing equipment to minimize downtime and maintain workflow.
- Follow correct machine operation, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on printing machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
- Checking inventory of printing supplies and materials, and report as needed to support production requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Document production data, job specifications, and quality control measures for reporting and record-keeping purposes.
- Safe operation of electric hoists, work savers and pallet trucks within factory.
- Report faults and escalate where appropriate.
- Operates as Fire Marshall/ First Aider as required
- Proven experience of operating fast moving modern printing machinery.
Essential - Flexographic or Gravure print experience
Strong technical skills with the ability to set up, adjust, and troubleshoot printing equipment. Knowledge of printing processes, materials, and industry best practices.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
This is a permanent role and they can be flexible on working hours:
6am - 4 pm Monday - Thursday = 40 hours
6am - 6pm Monday - Thursday = 48 hours
2pm - Midnight Monday - Thursday
Salary:
£16.13 per hour dependent on level of experience
Premium Shift allowance on all hours worked after 6 pm giving the opportunity to earn an extra 90.32 per week on the 2pm - Midnight shift
