Location: London
Contract Duration: 6 Months (with potential for extension)
Project: Multi-Billion Pound Transmission and Distribution Project
Day Rate: £550-700 per day

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced TP137/SR163 Site Manager to oversee operations on a major transmission and distribution project in London. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex projects within the energy sector, specifically in liaising with the National Grid, subcontractors, and third parties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaison and Communication:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the project team, National Grid, subcontractors, and third-party stakeholders.

  • Ensure effective communication channels are maintained for seamless project execution.

  • Subcontractor Management:

  • Oversee the performance and compliance of subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and meetings with subcontractors to address any issues and promote best practices.

  • Documentation and Compliance:

  • Ensure all site paperwork, including Lifting and Access Plans (LACs) and Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMs), are accurately maintained and updated.

  • Monitor adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies.

  • Project Coordination:

  • Collaborate with project engineers and other site management personnel to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.

  • Assist in the planning and scheduling of site activities to optimize efficiency.

  • Reporting:

  • Provide regular updates to senior management regarding project progress, challenges, and resource needs.

  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation for project reviews and audits.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Essential:

  • Valid TP137/SR163 qualification.

  • Proven experience in site management within the transmission and distribution sector.

  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Desirable:

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Experience working with the National Grid and large-scale infrastructure projects.
