We are seeking a dedicated PE Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Welwyn Garden City. This full-time, permanent position is set to commence in September. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality physical education lessons and foster a passion for sport and health among students.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality physical education lessons to students across various age groups.
- Foster a positive, engaging learning environment that promotes students' passion for sport and health.
- Organize and lead after-school sports clubs, contributing to the school's sports curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching methods and contribute to the school's continuous improvement in sports education.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Strong academic background in sports, health, and physical education.
- Good understanding of the BTEC curriculum and assessment methods.
- Excellent behaviour management skills to maintain discipline and a positive classroom environment.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
