Located in Chichester, our client is seeking a Secretariat to join their team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth running of the team by assisting with the coordination between the Board, sub-group meetings and the Local Authority.
Please note, time commitment of at least 2 days per week until March 2025, after which hours will be reviewed.
Secretariat Key duties:
- To advise on procedural matters, communication with Board Members between meetings, and other matters that are agreed with the Board Chair.
- Co-ordinate and manage Board Member Register of Interest documents and ensure the Board operates in line with the Assurance Framework.
- Work on own initiative dealing with complex and competing deadlines and agendas.
- Issue background papers and agendas
- Attend Board meetings and prepare accurate and concise minutes
- Co-ordinate and manage booking of meeting venues
- Accurately store and maintain business records
- Develop clear and concise action plans and ensure that actions are being implemented
Secretariat key skills:
- Well-developed organisational, management and supervisory skills.
- Significant attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels
- Previous experience supporting boards or committees is beneficial
- Demonstrable high level of written communications skills in particular minute taking skills
