Credit Controller

We are seeking a career minded Credit Controller for a large and growing SME in the Eastleigh area.

Our client is an industry leader in their field and has received significant investment to grow and develop their business further. Due to revenue growth, the business requires a stronger credit management function to ensure that their credit exposure does not become a problem as they grow.

Key responsibilities for the Credit Controller:

  • Proactive credit management by phone and email, ensuring credit limits are managed and regular credit reviews are carried out. Also manage the credit insurance portal and insured credit limits for customers.
  • Ensuring accounts are reconciled and maintain an accurate cash flow forecast for expected income.
  • Allocating cash, processing credit notes and sending monthly statements to all customers.
  • Set up customer accounts ensuring credit checks are completed.
  • Weekly and monthly reporting for senior leadership team.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks, supporting the Finance Manager and Finance Director as required

Required knowledge and experience for the Credit Controller role:

  • Proven experience within focussed credit control roles.
  • Self-motivated and focussed with a strong attention to detail
  • Sage Line 50 and Excel (Intermediate) experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to maintain clear and accurate financial records
