Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Children's Support Worker to join our client's team. The successful candidate will provide emotional and practical support to children and young people, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to children and young people.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist with daily activities, including education, recreation, and socialization.
- Work closely with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Monitor and record the progress of each child, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of children and young people.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children or young people in a support role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping children.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of child development and safeguarding practices.
- Experience with children who have special educational needs or disabilities.
- First aid certification.
