Job Opportunity: Parent Support Advisor (PSA) at a Primary School based in Featherstone, KS2.

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? A Featherstone Primary School is seeking a dedicated Parent Support Advisor to join their team and provide personalised support to children and families within their KS2 community.

As a Parent Support Advisor, your role will be pivotal in the early identification of children and families that may benefit from additional help. Your responsibilities will include closely working with parents and children in the process of identifying appropriate support and working collaboratively with them to address their needs. Your role will primarily focus on preventative and early intervention strategies and targeting needs that will require additional involvement from specialist services and agencies. You will work towards narrowing the gap by engaging the hardest to reach families, providing access to tailored support services and information about available resources.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing personalised 1:1 support to families in line with the LEAs Child Well Being model.
  • Offering group-based or individual support sessions for parents to address specific challenges within the family.
  • Enabling access to information about services and involvement in family learning and parenting programs.
  • Collaborating with parents to improve outcomes for children across the five key areas.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Full-time position
  • Level three qualification appropriate to the role.
  • Child Protection training.
  • A Valid driving license is essential for this role.
  • Experience working with families and supporting the needs of children.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing group-based or individual support for parents.
