We are looking for a Pricing Specialist for our client based in Bradford. In this role, you'll price sea shipments to and from the Far/Middle East and Indian Subcontinent.
This role would suit someone who has experience of working at a freight forwarder and wants to focus on the pricing part of the role. The company offers a fantastic working environment and friendly, hardworking tea.
Main duties to include:
- Receive requests for customer quotations
- Negotiate rates with carriers, hauliers and suppliers
- Confirm availability of equipment
- Prepare and submit quotations to customers
- Follow up on quotations and gather customer feedback
- Ensure correct margins are applied
- Track success and failure of quotations
We are looking for:
- Experience of pricing shipments
- Ideally, experience in Deep Sea, however, other modes may be considered
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good negotiation skills and excellent communication skills
- Someone who is organised and sees processes through to completion
