Job Title: Waste Transfer Station Operative
Location: Weston-Super-Mare
Salary:
- £26,196 for day shift
- £26,998 - for the 2 shift pattern
Hours:
- 1st role Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm
- 2nd role Monday - Friday on shift of 6am-2:30pm & 9am-6pm
Our well established client in Weston Super Mare are currently looking for 2 Waste Transfer Station Operatives to join their team on a permanent basis.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet and greet contractors providing the services to the transfer station.
- Load and Unload vehicles with Wheeled 360 material handler and loading shovel
- Oversee all traffic management of the site and control the flow of waste deposits into the site.
- To remain polite and respectful with all colleagues, members of the public and client representatives at all times.
Adhere to, and ensure others adhere to legal requirements and the health and safety rules and procedures and legislation.
- Man, and operate the weighbridge in accordance with company requirements.
- General housekeeping and site tidiness to ensure safe operations and cleanliness of site at all times.
Person Specification:
- Full clean driving license
- Experience with wheel excavator/material handlers
- Experience with mobile loading shovel and forklifts
- Physically able to carry out manual handling and cleaning duties
- Can follow health and safety instructions
- Demonstrable communications skills in dealing with members of the public with respect and courtesy
