We are seeking an Operations Planner who will report directly to the Production Manager. The role involves maintaining optimal stock levels of raw materials and finished goods to meet customer requirements efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for converting logistics plans into actionable and efficient production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage site-based stock levels, ensuring timely replenishment and utilisation of available fleet resources.
  • Convert logistics plans into deliverable production plans, optimising resource use for best efficiency.
  • Conduct daily stock counts in alignment with MIVA, generating weekly reports on cost variances.
  • Analyse OTIF (On Time In Full) reports and determine root causes of failures.
  • Participate in the Tier accountability process and update the daily visibility board.
  • Ensure that scheduled deliveries are completed on time and in full.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis on deviations from the production plan and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage booking in and out of raw material deliveries and sampling.
  • Maintain stock holding within agreed financial and physical targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Assist in the monthly stock take process in collaboration with the Production Manager.
  • Provide cover for holidays and sickness, ensuring all supply chain planning requirements are met.
  • Undertake weighbridge duties and handle queries related to raw materials/finished products and customer collections.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments (Customer Service and Transport) to ensure an effective and efficient supply chain.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven team player with a positive attitude and self-motivation.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with various levels within the organisation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with SAP.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to maintain high standards consistently.
