The Tenants First Keyworker?role:?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Tenants First Keyworker to join us!

As part of this role, you'll support families and tenants facing various complex challenges, empowering them to make sustainable changes and manage their tenancy. This involves collaborating with the local community and key partners to coordinate support programmes and deliver proven, evidenced based family interventions.

Key duties and responsibilities of our Tenants First Keyworker:

  • Manage a caseload of families and tenants who fulfil the service criteria, i.e. are at risk of tenancy failure due to their needs.
  • Undertake whole family assessments and collate multi-agency information about existing and planned involvement.
  • Attend meetings, including child protection conferences, core groups, safeguarding meetings where necessary and contribute towards the development of specific action plans for the families and tenants within your caseload.
  • Provide and deliver inclusive intervention packages, being responsible for the management and monitoring of the support plans assigned to your caseload.
  • Ensure all monitoring and evaluation is completed in line with requirements.
  • Work closely with all partners to identify where there are apparent gaps in service provision and commitment.
  • Safeguard the health and safety of all persons under your control in accordance with the provisions in the Health and Safety Legislation and Berneslai Home and BMBC codes of practice and procedure.

What we're looking for in our Tenants First Keyworker:

  • Level 6 qualification in a relevant field, or substantial experience of working with children, young people/families, and adults (i.e. Housing, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Health, Youth Work, Education).
  • Relevant experience of undertaking whole family assessments and working with children/families and adults displaying serious and/or persistent antisocial behaviour.
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the effect of social and economic disadvantage on young people/adults and families.
  • Ability to travel as necessary to meet the needs of the post and able to work flexibly and independently whilst under pressure.
  • Ability to work within a team plan and manage own workload, achieve agreed targets and objectives, and evaluate outcomes to tight deadlines
