Right Now Group are currently recruiting for a European Business Development Executive for our client based in Manchester. Our client are a large Freight Forwarder with several branches in the UK. We are looking for a Road Freight Business Development Executive to join the team.
As a European Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for trying to bring on board new business within the European Road Freight Space and you will.
Responsibilities of a European Business Development Executive:
- Develop new European business by targeting major potential accounts.
- Enhance staff and internal systems to effectively manage these accounts.
- Maintain contact with established major accounts to optimize business and profitability.
- Provide detailed progress reports.
- Conduct senior-level supply chain negotiations and sales.
- Negotiate freight-related services with current and potential suppliers.
- Proficient in freight systems, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Actively engage with new business prospects.
- Manage newly secured customer accounts to ensure smooth handover and high customer satisfaction.
- Focus on achieving annual sales revenue targets from new and lapsed customers.
- Manage the entire sales process from prospecting to securing sales.
Experience required for European Business Development Executive:
- Industry experience in business-to-business sales, ideally within road freight or freight forwarding.
- Demonstrated experience in account management and development, with a track record of establishing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to network effectively across various levels of senior management.
- Goal-oriented mindset with a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
- Strong multitasking and time management abilities with a sense of urgency.
- Effective problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Dynamic and enthusiastic with excellent interpersonal, team-building, and leadership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Possession of a full, valid UK driving licence.
Additional Information for this role:
Shift: Monday - Friday
Hours: 09:00 - 17:30
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 (Depending on experience)
Car Allowance: Car allowance of £500 PCM
Commission: Attractive commission scheme is allocated to this role, which will be discussed with the recruitment consultant.
