This business is on an exciting journey to modernise and transform their production facility with continuous improvement measures.

They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Planning Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning function and coordination of production schedules, ensuring optimal use of resources, and meeting customer demands efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement production plans to meet customer requirements and company objectives.
  • Coordinate with various departments (e.g., procurement, production, logistics, sales) to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to prevent shortages or excesses.
  • Analyse production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead and mentor a team of planners, providing guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and customers to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
  • Manage demand and capacity planning to ensure production capabilities align with market needs.
  • Work closely with the sales team to achieve accurate forecasts and align production schedules with sales projections.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on production performance and planning activities to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing supply chain and planning teams.
