Able Bridge Recruitment are working with a dynamic manufacturing business based in the central belt of Scotland with a strong reputation for delivering high end products into a niche industry. We are seeking a skilled and analytical cost accountant/management accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the financial controller you will form part of a central finance team in Scotland that ultimately reports into a parent company based internationally.

The Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to provide robust and accurate financial information surrounding the production of specific products, their quality and their cost. You will be looking at a range of manufacturing outputs including product schedules, delivery and margin controls.
On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;
Develop and maintain standard costing systems, including material, labour, and overhead costs.
Conduct regular cost variance analysis to identify trends and opportunities for cost reduction.
Prepare and analyse cost reports, including product costing, inventory valuation, and profitability analysis.
Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing accurate cost data.
Assist in the implementation of cost management systems and tools.
Provide support for continuous improvement initiatives by analysing cost data and identifying areas for optimization.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Collaborate with other departments to gather cost information and provide financial analysis.
The Requirements
We are seeking a CIMA/ACCA part qualified accountant who is actively pursuing the qualification (we would expect applicants to be at the second or final stages of the qualification). We are also seeking an individual who has an analytical mindset and who has previous experience of working as an assistant accountant/assistant management accountant within a manufacturing environment. There will be a high degree of data analysis so advanced Excel skills are required. In addition, we are seeking an individual who is confident in managing stakeholder relationships and who interact with all levels of the corporate structure from production to the senior management team.
