Position Available: Head of Subsystems
Location: Gloucestershire (Hybrid) & Dynamic Working Hours
Salary: Up to £65,000 + Bonus & Good Pension Package
Experience needed: Significant experience of systems engineering and systems design across the full product development lifecycle. This would ideally have been done in a complex, high-technology engineering industry e.g. defence, aerospace, automotive, robotics, electronics, manufacturing etc...
About the role
We are a leading defence company who are at the forefront of innovation in the industry and your work will have a direct impact on the safety and security of the UK & our allies. We are currently looking for a Head of Subsystems who will be responsible for the development of a designated product and its integration onto customer platforms.
You will lead the team of systems engineers responsible for requirements analysis, co-design of the product with software, hardware, human factors and algorithms engineering disciplines, the proving plan and generation of compliance evidence leading to certification of the product. You will also have the opportunity to interact with all areas of the company across the full product development lifecycle while managing large work packages and teams.
What we need from you:
- Systems design / systems engineering experience in complex systems development
- Experience across the product development lifecycle
- Applied experience of work package management and people management
- Proactive with a mind-set for product line development and systems thinking
- Excellent stakeholder engagement
- The ability to gain Security Clearance
