Murray McIntosh is currently recruiting for a Fitter (Mechanical & Electrical) to work on a contract basis for a client of ours as detailed below.
You will be working on an engineering construction project which requires on site working 12 hours days Monday - Friday as a standard week.
This project will require use of staircases and a working height of 35 metres.
You will be trained to work at heights with harness training.
We require candidates to be eligible to obtain SC clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands on support to the project
- Work closely with the respective mechanical/electrical installation engineers to support project activities
- Work under supervision of senior engineers
- Typical activities will include running cables & installing bracketry etc
- Able to read and work to engineering drawings & use hand tools
Experience:
- 2 years + experience in similar role
- Mechanical or electrical degree or equivalent qualification
- Understanding of engineering standards
