ROLE- Test & Development Engineer
LOCATION- Bristol
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £30,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience
My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for a Test & Development Engineer join their team in Bristol on a permanent basis.
The Test & Development Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Experienced in a technical and hands-on Engineering position
- Experienced with testing
- Knowledge of full lifecycle product development, R&D, design and prototyping
- Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo etc
- Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to read engineering drawings and BOMs
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficient using MS Office
- Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
- Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
The Test & Development Engineer role will involve:
- Mechanical testing and manufacture of a variety of components and equipment
- Developing new and existing products
- Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings
- Handling compliance and test specifications
- Working to procedures and instructions
- Assisting the quality team with functional and visual inspection
- Working to procedures and compliance standards
- Testing, fault-finding and repair
- Using CAD to produce technical drawings, reading, annotating, creating jigs, fixtures, and testing apparatus
- Working both independently and in a team
- Communicating with different departments to resolve technical issues
