As a Food Technology Teacher, you'll play a key role in delivering dynamic and engaging lessons that equip students with both practical culinary skills and theoretical knowledge of food science, nutrition, and sustainability.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4, ensuring lessons are creative, practical, and challenging.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that help students understand food science, nutrition, and healthy living.
- Inspire students to develop practical cooking skills, from basic preparation techniques to more complex recipes.
- Provide feedback and assessments to support student progress and achievement.
- Work closely with the department and school leadership to improve curriculum delivery and outcomes.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Requirements:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK is mandatory.
- A strong background in Food Technology, including nutrition, cooking, and food science.
- Experience teaching Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4, with a proven track record of success in the schools of the UK.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- A passion for helping students develop their skills and knowledge in food education.
- The ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of students with varying levels of ability.
- A collaborative, positive approach to teaching and teamwork.
- Competitive salary between £30,000 - £40,000 per year.
