The successful teacher of Spanish will have:
- A good degree in an appropriate discipline related to Spanish
- A teaching qualification together with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A strong and secure subject knowledge in Spanish
- A strong and secure subject knowledge in French up to KS3
- Recent and relevant teaching experience
- Experience of assessment at key stage 3 and 4
- Awareness of the strategies available for improving the learning and achievement of all students
- A good understanding of curriculum developments in Spanish and French
- The ability to use a range of teaching and learning strategies
