Financial Controller
Salary Range: £40,000 - £50,000 per year

MBS is the largest builders merchant in Kent, we stock thousands of products and deliver concrete pumping across the southeast. We are an independent company experiencing year or year growth.
We seek to hire an experienced financial controller/finance manager that is either QBE or Part Qualified. Someone who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact in supporting the existing team. The ideal candidate would be a confident communicator, approachable by peers and someone who can overcome challenges within their stride. Will have experience in managing a team and supporting them to ensure process and systems are efficiently managed.
Job Role
- Support and develop existing finance team.
- Lead and supervise the payroll, VAT and HMRC processes.
- Oversee accounts payable.
- Reconcile accounts receivable.
- Prepare monthly accrual-based Management Accounts.
- Reconcile control accounts monthly
- Reconcile Bank Accounts.
- Drive continuous improvement of accounting practices.
- On board and take responsibility for bookkeeping & VAT for smaller group companies.
- Support FD and Business Founder on any other ad hoc tasks.
- Support with preparation of year end accounts for Tax Accountants
The role is fulltime, however we can consider school times for candidates with the right experience on a pro rata basis.
