Maths Teacher

Position: Maths Teacher
Location: Southampton
Start Date: September 2024

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Maths Teacher to join an SEN school in Southampton on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by students with SEN and the ability to adapt their teaching methods to meet individual needs. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective maths lessons that foster a love of learning and help students achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons to students across Key Stages 3-5.
  • Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the English curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and school events.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that respects and values diversity.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Maths or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration.
  • Experience working with SEND.
