We are currently working with an organisation in Essex who are looking to hire a Technical Sales Engineer.
They are a well established supplier of electrical products with multiple UK sites, and relationships with manufacturers internationally.
This is a newly created position working very closely with clients and suppliers to maintain strong working relationships and provide sound technical advice.
Responsibilities:
- develop long-term relationships with clients; managing and interpreting their requirements
- provide pre-sales technical assistance and after sales support
- attend nationwide client and supplier visits (some overseas travel may also be required)
- negotiating contracts, terms and conditions
- ensuring that sales targets are met
Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience in electrical / electronic engineering (related degree education or equivalent also desirable)
- At least 2 years of experience and proven success in a similar role
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- A self-motivated, proactive, and target-driven attitude
- A willingness to travel, with overnight stays when required
